Question: What went well this week? Are there any things that didn't go well? If yes, what can you do to prevent that from happening next time or what can you do to better the result?
Week one is already over and I was able to clarify what my project is going to be. I'm going to be leading an origami activity with all ages and demonstrating how to make all sorts of origami art. I was successful in discussing with my youth leader Randy about the plan I am going to execute. That is to meet with Ning Ding, the Children's librarian of the Kengsington branch and ask for permission to run my activity at the library. I also feel success that I was able to complete my poster and my profile blog on Weebly.
What did not go well was that I was being indecisive about my project. I had trouble thinking outside the box when having one-on-one meetings with Randy and when I was planning about my project outline.
For next time, I should make multiple drafts of a project outline and edit it to to be refined as one good copy. I was unorganized about planning my outline. So I should plan ahead and manage what I have to complete (ex: a poster by Friday).
If I do not want to make these mistakes, I should meet with my Youth Coordinator ahead of time and discuss about my outline and project so I have more time to work on my project. That means the youth leader will be occupied and it'll be first come first serve with meeting the youth leader.
